SCHOOL CURRENT SITUATION

CAMIGUIN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL is situated in one of the municipalities of Camiguin which is  Catarman particularly in barangay Looc. The school was established in 1946 by Don Pedro A. Adaza, Jr, the Founding Father of the school with a land area of 3.5 hectares.

Its metamorphosis is as follows; Catarman Junior High School (1946 – 1947), Catarman Municipal High School ( 1947 – 1958), Camiguin Provincial High School (1958 – 1975), Camiguin National High School (1975 – Present) per approved Budgetary Appropriation PD 733.

The school is an Independent Unit (IU) school with complete accounting personnel. It is operating with the presence of the following program offerings: Regular Basic Education Curriculum (BEC), Science, Technology and Engineering (STE) Program (formerly ESEP),  Strengthened Technical Vocational Education Program (STVEP) and Open High School Program (OHSP).

Camiguin National High School is the most populated secondary school in the municipality of Catarman. The school continuously provides quality education to students both in academic and co – curricular activities with the support of the School Governing Council (SGC), General Parent Teachers Association (GPTA) and Local Government Unit (LGU).
